The Mount desert Nursing Association, in conjunction with Mount Desert Island Hospital’s Wellness Department, is offering Flu Shot Clinics, open to the public, at their offices at 12 Summit Road, Northeast Harbor, ME. Flu shots will be given by the Nursing Association's Registered Nurses from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Anyone desiring a flu shot may come to the offices at those designated times.

 

RNs from the Nursing Association will also provide flu shots to any of their patients desiring the vaccine, and will bring the vaccine to their patients' homes.

 

In addition, the Nursing Association will administer flu shots to Town of Mount Desert employees at the town offices at a to-be-designated date and time.

The Mount Desert Nursing Association will be offering a free Autumn Cane Clinic to the public. Any persons interested in having their canes checked for adequate tread on tips, installation of new tips if needed, installation of ice prongs for walking on winter snow and ice, and assessment of proper cane fit and use, may come to the Mount Desert Nursing Association offices at 12 Summit Road in Northeast Harbor from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. Persons using walkers or other assistive walking devices may also bring those for assessment and evaluation. If replacement tips for canes or new ice prongs are needed they will be available for purchase at cost.

 

A Spring Cane Clinic will be offered as well. Check back for date and time information.
