On-going Cane Clinic and Assistive Device Safety Checks
2011
The Mount Desert Nursing Association will be offering on-going free cane assessments to the public. Any persons interested in having their canes checked for adequate tread on tips, installation of new tips if needed, installation of ice prongs for walking on winter snow and ice, and assessment of proper cane fit and use, may come to the Mount Desert Nursing Association offices Mondays at 12 Summit Road in Northeast Harbor from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. Persons using walkers or other assistive walking devices may also bring those for purchase at cost.
